Breaking out of the Echo Chamber
There are countless architecture award programs out there - but they are all fundamentally the same: a jury of architects anoints an architect and then shares the news with other architects. This is what we call the architectural echo chamber. The Architizer A+ Awards break from this tradition by showcasing the world's best buildings and design thinking to a much broader audience. Here's how we do it:
A+ Popular Choice Awards Dominate the Social Web
The Architizer A+ Award will bring unprecedented exposure to your work. Our reputable judges will nominate five (5) finalists within each award category. Those projects will then be presented online, where design enthusiasts around the globe will be invited to vote for their favorites during a highly publicized campaign. The winners of the A+ Popular Choice Awards will be honored alongside projects chosen by our jury.

We want to give our winners a truly remarkable showpiece. That’s why we asked the firm Snarkitecture to collaborate with the team behind the MTV and Emmy awards to create the Architizer A+ Awards trophy.
Gala Event In New York
No panel discussions! We’re going to throw a red carpet party in New
York City where we honor our award recipients and also announce a Firm of
the Year, Building of the Year and Client of the Year. All winners will be invited
to join a crowd of luminaries from architecture, development, government,
and other fields at this May 2013 soiree.
You Can't Win If You Don't Enter
A collection of 200 judges choose five (5) finalists and one (1) winner in each category. The web community also selects a Popular Choice winner in each category. Opportunities abound, but you can’t win if you don’t enter!
