This Awards Program Is Different

• The Architizer A+Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture and spaces. Its mission is to nurture the appreciation of meaningful architecture in the world and champion those designers that are integral to bringing great buildings to life. The Awards bring your work to a global audience of 400+ million.

Your Work on the Global Stage

• The A+Awards live at Architizer.com, the largest online community of architects in the world, with an audience 7+ million strong. But the awards are bigger than just the architectural community. Entries are judged by distinguished luminaries from fields as diverse as design, technology, real estate, fashion, and more. Finalists and winners are recognized as the year’s most influential visionaries online and in print — and the buzz is huge.

Two Ways To Win

• Our reputable judges nominate five finalists within each award category. These finalists are then presented online where design practitioners and enthusiasts from around the globe vote for their favorites during a highly publicized campaign. The winners of the A+ Popular Choice Awards are honored alongside Jury Winners. In 2025, we received over 300,000 public votes.

The Sustainability Awards

• The design and construction industry accounts for almost 40% of carbon emissions worldwide. While most architects agree that we need to work towards more sustainable construction practices, it is a challenge to provide a universal measure of sustainability for architecture globally. There are many ways in which a building can be considered “green”, and a wide array of definitions for “sustainable design”, depending on a plethora of factors including geography, regulations of national and local governments, localized climate and environmental features, socio-economics, community culture and more.
• The Sustainability Awards seek to celebrate architecture and design firms who are actively working towards a more sustainable built environment, wherever they may be based and whatever challenges or opportunities are inherent within each project. Eligibility for these categories takes into consideration local characteristics, while rewarding projects that push the envelope and form a positive precedent for greener building practices in its specific region and the wider world.

Project of the Year Awards

• Each season, a small number of “Project of the Year” Awards are hand selected by our Editors. These entries recognize outstanding contributions to the industry in a given year, and connect closely to challenges, topics or issues that are timely in industry discourse. These projects cut across typologies, scales and geographies to rise above the rest—demonstrating extraordinary creative vision, technical mastery, and architectural insight. Entrants must opt in to consideration for a Project of the Year Award during the submission process ($195 fee). Project of the Year Winners receive additional benefits including custom coverage on the Architizer Journal, as well as priority inclusion for events and speaking engagements.
